Hampson started in left field and went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 11-2 loss to the Guardians.
Scouting Report
Is a pure hitter who makes consistent contact and can spray the ball all over the field. Does not strike out too much and can also draw walks and steal bases. Can play all over the infield, which adds value. Lacks home-run power, so he may have been born in the wrong era in terms of playing every day in Major League Baseball. Defensively, he is probably better on the right than the left side of the diamond.
Long Range Potential: Utility man.
