ZASTRYZNY MOVED TO MILWAUKEE
The Milwaukee Brewers acquired pitcher Rob Zastryzny from the New York Yankees for cash.
What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers bring in a veteran left-handed reliever in Zastryzny. The 33-year-old often splits time between the minors and MLB, but he can be an effective lefty specialist at times. He spent the 2024 season in Milwaukee's organization, and will provide bullpen depth again now. He was added to the MLB roster following the trade.
What does it give the New York Yankees
Zastryzny didn't appear in an MLB game with the Yankees, who signed him to minor-league contract ahead of the season. He managed only a 4.50 ERA at Triple-A, so New York did fine here getting cash from Milwaukee.
Fantasy impact
This trade is unlikely to have a fantasy impact. At best, Zastryzny might register a few holds in middle relief with Milwaukee.
