The Toronto Blue Jays acquired pitcher Robinson Pina from the Miami Marlins for pitcher Colby Martin.

In Pina, the Blue Jays bring in a depth right-hander. The 26-year-old has been a serviceable starter in the Minor Leagues, but he may be limited to a long-relief or spot-start role in MLB for now. The Marlins designated Pina for assignment after he provided bullpen depth for one game. His effectiveness in the minors allowed Miami to get a prospect in return here. Martin was a sixteenth-round draft pick by the Blue Jays in 2024. A right-handed reliever, he will now continue his early development in the Marlins organization.
