YANKEES ADD AMED ROSARIO
The New York Yankees acquired outfielder/infielder Amed Rosario from the Washington Nationals for pitcher Clayton Beeter and outfielder Browm Martinez.
What does it give the New York Yankees
In Rosario, the Yankees bring in a veteran utility man. The 29-year-old should be an important role player for New York, with his ability to hit left-handed pitching and play multiple positions. He was solid in a part-time role with Washington this season, hitting .270 with 5 HR and 18 RBI.
What does it give the Washington Nationals
Rosario has a valuable skillset, so the Nationals were able to get back two younger players for him. Beeter is a right-hander who has not had much success in his first few MLB call-ups. He has good strikeout ability but struggles with walks, so this change of scenery might help. Meanwhile, Martinez is an outfielder still playing in Rookie Ball, where he has had an impressive 2025 season. It's not a bad return, considering Rosario is a rental for the Yankees.
Fantasy impact
This trade will not impact fantasy baseball too much. Rosario will only have value in the deepest of fantasy leagues, and he is unlikely to be an everyday player for the Yankees. Beeter and Martinez are not on the fantasy radar at this time.
