What does it give the Detroit Tigers
Montero is a serviceable veteran reliever who should provide added depth in the Detroit bullpen down the stretch. He is not great, so do not expect him to play a big role.
What does it give the Atlanta Braves
Jarvis is a middle infielder who hits left-handed, but his ceiling is probably that of a bench player at the big-league level. Still, he is a decent acquisition in exchange for Montero.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as Montero is likely to pitch in middle or long relief for the Tigers. As for Jarvis, his long-range offensive output is middling at this time.
