PERAZA PICKED UP BY THE ANGELS
The Los Angeles Angels acquired infielder Oswald Peraza from the New York Yankees for outfielder Wilberson De Pena and international bonus pool money.
What does it give the Los Angeles Angels
The Angels are hoping Peraza, 25, can finally meet expectations. He struggled badly with the Yankees this season but may have a chance at redemption with the Angels, who have Yoan Moncada seeing most of the action at third base.
What does it give the New York Yankees
The Yankees decided to cut bait with Peraza after a summer of offensive struggles in 2025. De Pena is an 18-year-old outfielder who is a long way away from MLB. The prime motivation for New York here was the international pool money.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as Peraza needs to revive his offensive game before becoming a viable fantasy option again. De Pena is several years away from becoming a fantasy option, too.
