WHITE SOX LAND TWO FOR OZZIE

The Chicago White Sox acquired pitcher Jhan Marinez and infielder Osvaldo Martinez from the Florida Marlins for pitcher Ricardo Andres and manager Ozzie Guillen.

What does it give the Chicago White Sox
The White Sox certainly received plenty of compensation for the services of their former manager here. Marinez is a raw arm with a lot of life and upside. Martinez is a slick-fielding infielder who has a good chance of making the White Sox out of spring training next year. Overall, the Pale Hose did quite well here.

What does it give the Florida Marlins
Clearly, the Marlins believe Ozzie Guillen is the solution to their issues in the dugout. Why else would they trade two of their top 10 prospects (at least according to Baseball America's 2011 preseason rankings)? Guillen is a nice fit for a team looking to create a buzz in Miami next season.
