SEXTON TO UTAH FOR NURKIC
The Charlotte Hornets acquired guard Collin Sexton and a second-round draft pick in 2030 from the Utah Jazz for center Jusuf Nurkic.
What does it give the Charlotte Hornets
Charlotte has LaMelo Ball at the point and Brandon Miller at shooting guard (though he can also play small forward), so Sexton will probably come off the bench with the Hornets. That is a good role for him.
What does it give the Utah Jazz
The Jazz have a lot of big men, led by young center Walker Kessler. Nurkic could back Kessler up in 2025-26, or perhaps there are more moves incoming for Utah. The Jazz definitely have a lot of options.
Fantasy impact
Sexton could be a solid pickup in 2025-26 because he is good when coming off the bench. Furthermore, he may also get a chance to start. Meanwhile, Nurkic is probably off the fantasy roster at this point.
