The Charlotte Hornets acquired forward/guard Pat Connaughton, a second-round draft pick in 2031 and a second-round draft pick in 2032 from the Milwaukee Bucks for guard Vasilije Micic.
What does it give the Charlotte Hornets
Connaughton was once upon a time a solid contributor off the bench for the Bucks. However, injuries have been a factor lately. If healthy, and if the Hornets decide to keep him, Connaughton could be a good veteran presence off the bench.
What does it give the Milwaukee Bucks
This trade is a pure salary dump by the Bucks, as Connaughton was needed to come off the books. Milwaukee moved out second-rounders in order to get this deal done. Micic is not expected to remain with the Bucks.
Fantasy impact
Connaughton is not a viable fantasy option this season, even if he becomes a member of the Hornets' rotation in 2025-26. Ditto Micic.
