DALLAS PICKS UP PICKENS
The Dallas Cowboys acquired wide receiver George Pickens and a sixth-round draft pick in 2027 from the Pittsburgh Steelers for a third-round draft pick in 2026 and a fifth-round draft pick in 2027.
What does it give the Dallas Cowboys
In Pickens, the Cowboys land a tremendous complement for No. 1 receiver CeeDee Lamb. Pickens stretches the field with his size, speed and leaping ability, which should allow Lamb to dominate the middle of the field. Dallas QB Dak Prescott should now have enough weapons to produce terrific numbers in 2025.
What does it give the Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers continue to make surprising moves this off-season. After adding WR DK Metcalf in a big trade with Seattle, it was thought that Pittsburgh would field one of the best receiving duos in the NFL in 2025. Instead, Metcalf will now take over for Pickens as the clear No. 1 wideout. Is anyone else confused?
Fantasy impact
Pickens should be happy to be out of Pittsburgh, especially since the Steelers currently lack a capable starting quarterback and Prescott is a clear upgrade for Pickens. That said, consider Pickens a touchdown-dependent fantasy wide receiver in 2025.
