PARSONS TO THE PACKERS!
The Green Bay Packers acquired defensive end/linebacker Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys for defensive tackle Kenny Clark, a first-round draft pick in 2026 and a first-round draft pick in 2027.
What does it give the Green Bay Packers
Wow! Welcome to the 2025 NFL campaign. Green Bay decided to shake things up right away by adding one of the best pass rushers in the game in Parsons. The cost was two first-round draft picks and a quality interior D-lineman in Clark, but Parsons is the type of impact defensive player every NFL team with playoff aspirations wants. Great move by the Pack!
What does it give the Dallas Cowboys
For the Cowboys, how did they get here? Parsons was easily the Cowboys' best player on defense. And there were times when he was the best player on the team. Period. He is also four years younger than Clark, so this move feels like regression for Dallas at this time. Sure, two first-rounders will help down the line but not now. The Cowboys lost this trade.
Fantasy impact
In individual defensive player leagues, Parsons is a top draft candidate every year. That will not change now that he is with the Packers. Parsons is usually eligible at both defensive line and linebacker, so he also has some versatility. Draft him with confidence in IDP formats.
