KREIDER DEALT TO THE DUCKS

The Anaheim Ducks acquired left-winger Chris Kreider and a fourth-round draft pick in 2025 (No. 104 overall) from the New York Rangers for center Carey Terrance and a third-round draft pick in 2025 (No. 89 overall).

What does it give the Anaheim Ducks
For the Ducks, Kreider is an accomplished special teams performer and veteran presence up front. Anaheim struggled on the power play last season, so Kreider should help due to his incredible hand/eye coordination in front of the net. He also will help Anaheim push for a playoff spot in 2025-26.

What does it give the New York Rangers
This is a new era in New York, so GM Chris Drury has started to reshape the roster. Kreider is the first domino to fall but he surely will not be the last. In Terrance, the Rangers land a native of upstate New York who toiled in the OHL in 2024-25. He has bottom-six forward potential at the NHL level.

Fantasy impact
Kreider needs to get back to 100 percent health, first and foremost. He could be a buy-low candidate in some fantasy formats this year, but his fantasy output will be largely dependent on his special teams prowess. As for Terrance, he lacks the offensive upside to be on the fantasy radar.
