MARCHMENT SENT TO SEATTLE

The Seattle Kraken acquired left-winger Mason Marchment from the Dallas Stars for a fourth-round draft pick in 2025 (No. 126 overall) and a third-round draft pick in 2026.

What does it give the Seattle Kraken
In Marchment, the Kraken add a veteran scoring winger. He is coming off back-to-back 22-goal seasons and has been a productive middle-six contributor. Seattle's offense could use a boost and Marchment should provide just that–possibly in a larger role, too. The 30-year-old is in the final year of a four-year contract.

What does it give the Dallas Stars
The Stars lose a good player in Marchment and do not get a whole lot in return here. The mid-round draft picks do help them restock some after recent trades. However, moving Marchment was more about clearing $4.5 million in cap space. That should give Dallas some important flexibility this off-season.

Fantasy impact
Marchment's value likely takes a hit from this trade, as he departs the high-scoring Stars offense. At the same time, the Kraken are not as deep on the wing, so he could be looking at top-six forward minutes now. Some regression could be coming but Marchment remains a decent pick this season.
