ZEGRAS TO THE FLYERS!

The Philadelphia Flyers acquired forward Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks for center Ryan Poehling, a second-round draft pick in 2025 (No. 45 overall) and a fourth-round draft pick in 2026.

What does it give the Philadelphia Flyers
In Zegras, the Flyers get a purely skilled player who has had issues with both injury and inconsistency in recent years. He can play all three forward positions but Philadelphia will probably try him at center to start out. He should help Philly on the power play and also in terms of playmaking and scoring.

What does it give the Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks decided to part ways with Zegras, who began to move down the team's depth chart last season. It was likely going to get worse for Zegras, not better, so Anaheim moved him on in exchange for three assets. Poehling is the likely fourth-line center for the Ducks in 2025-26.

Fantasy impact
The fantasy fortunes of Zegras should improve after this trade. He is probably at his best when playing center, although he does need defensive support on his line. Grab Zegras this season, if available. As for Poehling, his playing time may decrease with the Ducks. There is likely no room for him to move up from the fourth line now. Take a pass on Poehling.
