JORDAN SPENCE SENT TO OTTAWA

The Ottawa Senators acquired defenseman Jordan Spence from the Los Angeles Kings for a third-round draft pick in 2025 (No. 67 overall) and a sixth-round draft pick in 2026.

What does it give the Ottawa Senators
In Spence, the Senators add more depth on the right side of the defense. He joins Artem Zub, Nick Jensen and Nikolas Matinpalo on that side, with top prospect Carter Yakemchuk waiting in the wings.

What does it give the Los Angeles Kings
The Kings are likely clearing out a bit of salary and a roster spot for another move (re-signing Vladislav Gavrikov, perhaps?) here. They were able to get back two drafts picks for Spence. Is that enough?

Fantasy impact
Spence is unlikely to see a ton of power-play time in Ottawa, so his fantasy value should remain somewhat limited. He is talented enough to keep an eye on, though.
