HAGUE HEADS TO NASHVILLE

The Nashville Predators acquired defenseman Nicolas Hague and a conditional third-round draft pick in 2027 from the Vegas Golden Knights for forward Colton Sissons and defenseman Jeremy Lauzon.

What does it give the Nashville Predators
In Hague, the Predators are getting a solid defenseman who can do a little bit of everything reasonably well–but has no one dominant quality. He was a solid contributor to the Golden Knights' 2023 championship squad but struggled a bit last season. He should help Nashville's defense.

What does it give the Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights are replacing Hague with Lauzon, who is a bigger hitter than Hague but a less steady defender. Lauzon should play on the third pairing in Vegas. As for Sissons, the versatile defensive forward is likely to replace Nicolas Roy in Vegas. The latter is rumored to be on his way out.

Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact whatsoever here. Hague is mainly going to play a defensive role in Nashville. Ditto Sissons in Vegas. Lauzon can rack up impressive hits totals but that is about all.
