Jansen (1-2) walked two and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record the win in a 4-3 extra-inning victory over the Red Sox.
Jansen allowed one hit in a scoreless two-thirds of an inning in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Orioles. He did not record a strikeout or a walk.
Has a tremendous frame and a great arm. His overall pitching arsenal produces big strikeout totals. Dominates on the mound, so he is rather equipped to pitch late in games. Needs to keep his walks total down, and also maintain his composure, in order to maximize his late-inning output. Is still a bit raw as a pitcher, since he's a converted catcher.
Long Range Potential: Dominant late-inning reliever.
