Kimbrel signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Tuesday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
Scouting Report
Has a live arm and plenty of strikeout ability. Is unafraid of challenging batters and displays the ideal demeanor of a late-inning reliever. Can intimidate on the hill. Whenever he gets into major hot water late in ball games, it is almost always because he loses command of his pitches and starts walking too many batters.
Long Range Potential: Veteran reliever.
