Sale is having his start pushed back from Sunday to a game during Atlanta's upcoming series against the Mets, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Sale took a no-decision in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Pirates, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out eight.
Possesses a great fastball, funky delivery due to a wiry frame, wicked slider and and loads of strikeout ability. His training as a closer helps him dominate, especially lefty bats. Is not always great at situational pitching, so he could stand to manage the game a little better at times. Right-handed hitters have more success against him, generally.
Long Range Potential: Dominant left-hander.
