The Mets signed Jankowski to a minor-league contract Tuesday, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.
Jankowski signed a minor-league deal with the Mets on Saturday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Has tremendous speed, so he can be a major difference-maker on the bases in the big leagues. Can also be a valuable defensive outfielder with the range to cover excellent ground in the outfield. Does not have much in the way of power, which can limit his plate appearances in Major League Baseball (he may profile best as a fourth outfielder at the highest level). Does not have a great arm.
Long Range Potential: Speedy outfielder and table setter with a little upside.
