Mahle (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.
Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young said Monday that Mahle has been diagnosed with a right rotator cuff strain and will not return until after the trade deadline, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Owns a solid frame and plenty of strike-throwing ability. In fact, he usually delivers plenty of first-pitch strikes when he is on top of his game. His overall stuff is pretty good. Since he is usually around the plate with his pitches, he can get hurt by the long ball if he starts elevating his fastball too much. Also, he could stand to add a little more bulk.
Long Range Potential: Solid right-hander.
