The Yankees activated Hamilton (illness) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.
Hamilton will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
Has found his niche as a reliever, after struggling some as a starting pitcher. Owns a tremendous fastball, plus a great slider that is a true strikeout pitch. Is very aggressive and deceptive in his delivery. Lacks ideal size for a pitcher in Major League Baseball, so injuries and stamina can be issues for him. Also, his changeup is not quite at the same level as his slider or fastball for the highest level.
Long Range Potential: Talented reliever with some upside.
