Broncos head coach Sean Payton said Thursday that Engram (shoulder), who has been an active participant at OTAs, has shown "real good instincts" at practice, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
Engram (shoulder) is signing a two-year contract with Denver, according to agent Mike McCartney.
Highly polished and well-rounded at tight end: capable of being very productive as a receiver, and solid in pass protection. Has flat out elite foot speed for a tight end, and is a superb leaper who will win a lot of jump balls. Brings adequate strength and is uncommonly quick and fluid too. Needs work on his run-blocking. Lacks the ideal height teams look for in a tight end, and significantly needs more mass to compete as a pro tight end (and must show he can add it without losing any quickness).
Long Range Potential: Star level tight end.
