Samuel and the Commanders agreed to terms Wednesday on a reworked one-year contract that provides him with a $17 million guaranteed salary and $3 million in incentives, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Brings a wide range of skills as a versatile and explosive receiver who can be deployed in (but is not limited to) a slot role. Ran every route in college, exhibiting proven short-range quickness and dangerous downfield speed. Is distinguished by his combative nature, rugged frame and hell-bent running style after the catch (he loves to dish it out physically with the ball in his hands). Has subpar size and length for a featured role; his blocking skills are unrefined and there are questions about his long-term durability after suffering a broken leg in college.
