Based on his absence from pre-game warmups, Slayton (undisclosed) is not expected to play in the Giants' preseason opener against the Bills on Saturday, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
An eye-popping college average of 20 yards per catch gives it away: defenses must beware of his quick-strike ability in the vertical attack. The former state sprint champion has the motor to separate from coverage, the ideal height and frame to win matchups with smaller corners, plus excellent body control and extension to make in-flight adjustments and seize jump balls. Was not heavily targeted in a run-first college offense. Can use refinement in his route running and must also improve his ball security in order to maximize output in the NFL.
