Smoot (Achilles) and the Jaguars agreed on a one-year, $6.25 million contract Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Features a big enough frame to succeed as a pro pass rusher, and already has the bulk and muscle mass to get a good push off the snap. Uncommonly athletic for his size, and has a good wingspan for swim-moving over blockers. Displays untapped versatility and potential. Not particularly proven as a pass rusher, and might be better suited as a hybrid end-tackle in the NFL. Still needs to develop his overall skill-set to get the most from his exceptional athletic ability. Raw overall.
