White's teammate Maxwell Hairston is expected to be sidelined for at least the next three weeks after being diagnosed with an LCL sprain in his right knee, meaning White could take on a more prominent role as the regular season draws near, Alec White and Kay Racine report.
The Bills signed White to a one-year contract worth up to $6.8 million Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Exceptional at regularly making plays in the secondary, constantly busting up passes and disrupting receivers. His foot-speed is a great asset against NFL receivers and gives him an edge on most. Has good strength for an NFL d-back for jamming and bodying wideouts. Would benefit by adding more interception ability to his skill-set. Doesn't have ideal size for the pro secondary, nor ideal muscle mass (and must add some bulk). Also his quickness, agility, and leaping ability are not top-tier for the pro secondary.
Long Range Potential: Athletic, talented cover cornerback with starter upside.
