The 49ers re-signed Taylor to a one-year deal Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Taylor rushed 17 times for 109 yards while catching one of four targets for 12 receiving yards in Sunday's 47-24 loss to Arizona.
Rumbles out of the backfield like a runaway bus; he boasts a sculptured frame with uncommon height for the position. Is a highly skilled receiver and effective pass blocker. Features an upright running style; he can power through traffic between the tackles. Is a strong finisher with short yardage utility. Must develop patience to follow blocking schemes. Lacks optimal balance when running through contact. Lacks the lateral agility to miss tackles or extend plays.
