Broncos coach Sean Payton said Monday that Dobbins has made a swift transition into Denver's offense, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.
Dobbins agreed to terms Tuesday on a one-year, $5.25 million contract with Denver, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Presents blue collar traits from when he was a prolific college workhorse with a north-south running style and ironclad frame. Trains his vision straight upfield; he rarely deviates from the prescribed path and maxes out gains with churning feet and forward lean. Will punish would-be tacklers at every level. Is a serviceable receiver as an outlet or screen option and is enough of an asset in pass protection to play every down. His durability and resiliency will be tested at the pro level. May need to use the boundaries more often to limit wear and tear in the NFL.
