The Broncos signed Ehlinger to a one-year contract Wednesday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
Scouting Report
Tough as nails with great leadership skills, he is unfortunately a very average passer. He can hit open targets but lacks the rocket arm that can zing a ball into tight windows. He lacks height but has plenty of bulk and strength, and can get tough yards on scrambles and called runs (although he is not explosive). Will never awe observers when hurling the deep ball but shows good anticipation on intermediate throws.
Long Range Potential: Mobile developmental quarterback.
