Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury said Robinson "has played an incredibly high level" and "knows what this year means to him and can mean to us when he plays at that level" as he enters the final season of his rookie deal, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
Robinson rushed five times for 10 yards and caught his only target for six yards in Sunday's 23-19 win over the Cowboys.
The physical running back is an aggressive finisher who uses his size to good advantage and can grind out the tough yards. However, he needs to improve his decisiveness, especially between the tackles. His size and build let him take on a heavy workload, though that can lead to durability concerns. His speed is good but he has yet to show the kind of burst often needed to get past the first layer of tacklers in the NFL.
