Head coach Raheem Morris said Monday the team is being "extremely cautious" with Pitts (foot) and said the tight end won't be seen at OTAs but has "been in every single meeting" and "been in every single thing that we've done other than the field," Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
Pitts (foot) is present for OTAs on Wednesday but is not participating in on-field activities due to an injury, Kyle Crabbs of AtoZ Sports reports.
The highest drafted tight end in the history of the NFL (No. 4 overall in 2021) wasted no time showing he can be elite by becoming the first rookie tight end in 60 years to surpass 1,000 receiving yards. His combination of size and speed creates mismatches that can force opponents to alter their defenses. His rare blend of physical talent and ball skills make him a tough matchup for linebackers, and almost impossible for defensive backs to cover.
