Newsome (hamstring) participated during OTAs on Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski said Newsome (hamstring) will "miss time" but was not sure how long, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
The confident cornerback trusts his technique and does not panic when the ball is in the air. He is a solid tackler who shows the ability to track down receivers on shallow crossing patterns and cut them down short of the first-down marker. Is well versed in a number of schemes, and he has the strength and physicality to excel in press coverage, although he has to work on his timing to avoid pass interference penalties.
Long Range Potential: Excellent cornerback.
