Baltimore signed Bateman to a three-year, $36.75 million contract extension Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Thursday that Bateman will work as the team's No. 1 wideout during Saturday's wild-card round game against the Steelers, with Zay Flowers (knee) ruled out, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
The 2021 first-rounder (No. 27 overall) has the hands and size to be an effective outside target in the NFL. He is a good route runner and has the instincts to know how to find openings when plays break down (and his quarterback is scrambling). He can catch the ball in stride on crossing routes, but has to get better at avoiding press coverage and proving that he can get open against top defenders.
Long Range Potential: Talented wide receiver with some upside.
