The Commanders and Wagner agreed to a one-year contract Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Wagner finished the 2024 regular season with 132 tackles (75 solo), four pass defenses, two sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble in 17 games.
Busy and reliable as a tackler, with good speed and athleticism. Very intense and aware. Consistent and capable of regularly making both routine and big plays, sideline to sideline. Has good potential on special teams as well. Undersized for the pro game and must keep working on his technique at getting away from big blockers. Can be a little over-focused on picking up runners and needs to show more consistency in both blitz packages and in pass coverage schemes.
Long Range Potential: Quality interior linebacker.
