Jefferson re-signed with the Chargers on a one-year deal Monday, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
Jefferson logged seven tackles (four solo) during the Chargers' 34-27 win over the Broncos this past Thursday.
Was very physical and owned a high motor in the secondary. The big hitter jarred opponents after the catch. Made plays all over the field, buzzed in on the blitz and picked up the run well. Showed good anticipation and ball skills, and was a threat to force fumbles and pick off passes. He was energetic, aware and very versatile in the secondary. At times, he could be too aggressive when he looked for the big hit rather than the sure tackle. Lacked ideal speed to recover when he guessed wrongly. Lacked ideal size for a strong safety, leading to man-to-man coverage issues.
Long Range Potential: Physical, uniquely versatile safety with playmaking ability.
