The Bills signed Thompson (Achilles) to a one-year contract Tuesday.
Instinctive, smart, and uncommonly versatile. Played several different positions on the field in college, including linebacker and tailback. As a defender he's supremely opportunistic and aware: buzzes around the action, is a regular threat to strip or steal the ball, and has great ball skills going the other way. Superb in pass coverage.Not particularly fast in a straight line or stout and consistent as a wrap-up tackler.
Long Range Potential: Playmaking inside linebacker.
