Brisson and a 2025 third-round pick were acquired by the Rangers from Vegas on Thursday in exchange for Reilly Smith, per Larry Brooks of the New York Post.
The son of player agent and former QMJHL star Pat Brisson, he plays a very heady game with the puck on his blade. Can find his teammates with precise passes and also boasts an excellent shot when he decides to finish plays himself. His hockey IQ plus his skill set make him a legitimate playmaker for the highest level. Will need to add more bulk and get physically stronger in order to maximize production in the National Hockey League. Also, he does not own elite skating speed.
Long Range Potential: Savvy playmaker with a little upside.
