The Rangers acquired Coulombe from the Twins on Thursday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Scouting Report
Pitches with enough deception and stuff to get the job done--especially against left-handed batters. Can strike out plenty of hitters, in particular at the minor-league level. Does not own ideal size (5'10", 190 pounds) for a big-league pitcher. Aside from stamina, he also lacks the repertoire to pitch to more than a couple of batters at a time.
Long Range Potential: Situational left-hander.
