The Mets acquired Soto from the Orioles on Friday in exchange for Wellington Aracena and Cameron Foster, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
Scouting Report
Blessed with an awesome arm, he possesses a great fastball and quality slider. Also generates a lot of deception due to a cross-body delivery. Is really tough on left-handed batters. A lack of control is at the root of his issues. Also, he lacks a quality third pitch. Because of those two problems, he could wind up as a situational left-handed in Major League Baseball.
Long Range Potential: Hard-throwing, inconsistent left-hander with upside.
