The Diamondbacks traded Montgomery (elbow) to the Brewers alongside Shelby Miller (forearm) on Thursday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Scouting Report
Owns an ideal pitchers' frame (6-6, 225 pounds) and an excellent repertoire for the starting rotation in Major League Baseball. Is a fairly consistent strike-thrower, as well. Can get beaten by the long ball from time to time, so it is always imperative that he keep the ball down in the strike zone. Also needs to prove he can pitch deep in games.
Long Range Potential: Talented left-hander with some upside.
